Saturday Sept. 16th - The Duke Orsino turned 700 years old, and wishing to celebrate properly held a small party for himself in the commoner freehold. songs were sung, poems recited, riddles riddled, and quests completed. The Duke gave everyone who attended his party one concession, if they could answer a riddle, or complete a quest he gave them he would give them an unofficial title or some type of favor. Being 700 years old the Duke was looking more for entertainment than for gifts(he has everything he wants or needs). He was in a very good mood and slightly drunk. When any faerie failed to guess at one of his riddles or failed in a quest they were gleefully sent to Jason in the Satyr's Glade within the freehold for "punishment" though no one really felt punished afterward. The fun ended with the chastising of a chimerical baby dragon who had been running amuck in the freehold and who by the Dukes leave fought those who were celebrating in a mock battle.
Saturday Oct. 21 - After the invasion of the high kings Knights and their rabbid search for things unknown, Yaroth was dispatched to various freeholds seeking what they sought. He charged the commoners in the southern freehold to unravel a mysterious plage of bedlam overcomming several of the freeholds more (or less) illustrious members and put an end to it. Secretive, dangerous and downright silly things were offered in reward for lucidity, and in the end a single Nocker was dragged bedlam and all out of the freehold to be ground back into reality.
Saturday Nov. 18th - To the chagrin of the faerie nobles the Duke hosted what he called "A Commoners Court" in his freehold. Everyone from the area was invited to attend. The entire court, with the exception of a single Eschu squire and an unfortunate knight (who could not come up with an excuse fast enough) fled the insanity of what they consider the Dukes eccentric dotage, and did not attend. Several commoners were rewarded for their valient deeds of the previous month. During the festivities the Duke fell into a fit of rage and stormed out, abandoning his own games and leaving several commoners running the mock court. Shortly before sunset Yaroth arrived announcing that one of the holders of the commoner freehold had been found slain, his head smashed in with cold iron. After a bit of confusion a reward of 5 dross and $5000 dollars was offered for any hard evidence leading to the apprehension of the murderer. Court was wrapped up with a search for a missing Sluagh (who is now suspect), and everyone retired to Jason's Club for a night of fun and relaxation.
Saturday Mar. 3rd - Over the course of the past several months, the Duke has neither been seen nor heard from. With his withdrawl from court and society the Sidhe nobles are growing increasingly restless. Rumors of war abound as discussions of outright murder and the theft of the commoner freeholds rages through the Dukes castle and court. To discuss the rumors of war, the death of the Troll Donovin, the mysterious weakening of the commoner's main freehold, the suspected Sluagh, and the Dukes strange withdrawl from society following the Troll's death, word was spread among several commoners and few nobles. They gathered in a banal warehouse near the abandoned amusement park. What was discussed at the meeting remains in the dark hearts of those present. What is known however, is that somehow a brave young Sidhe Knight named Dallian infiltrated the meeting, before being wounded greviously he was able to unearth the commoners dasterdly plans and call for reinforcements. A large number of Sidhe warriors entered the building with a writ signed by the Duke himself declaring those present guilty of high treason and condeming them to life in the dungeons. The writ also promised death to those accused of leading the motly band. The guilty fae fled before being apprehended, however the valient Sidhe warriors were able to apprehend a viscious mortal in league with the traitors and were forced to subdue him. Barely alive he awaits questioning in the hidden torture chambers beneath the Dukes keep.
